No spend days..

August 17th, 2006 at 09:25 am

It amazes me how you all clock up so many no spend days. I thought I would have another one yesterday but we needed bread, milk and colddrinks.
Spent $12.86 - not too bad but I wanted a no spend day so badly.

Today I have 2 client appointments - hold thumbs - I am hoping for an order from at least one of them.

Have to put gas in my car today Frown but if I get an order it will be worth it.

When I finish work today I am going to go through the store room and look for stuff I can sell at my Garage sale - I haven't had one yet so I may be surprised with what I have to sell.

Last night, DD and I had leftovers for supper so that was a no cost meal.

DD is on school holidays at the moment - I have to find something that we can do together that doesn't cost money. Any ideas?

See you later...

I live in a "tourist" kind of place, North Coast of California and there are lots of things to go see, beautiful trails, the beach, etc.

Do you have anything close like that? We ignore most of the "touristy things" because we have lived here our whole lives, but a so much of it is free or very low cost. When the kids were home, we used to do quite a bit of that kind of thing with them.

Take a second look around you!

    Check out
Text is http://www.nickjr.com/ and Link is
http://www.nickjr.com/ if you haven't already. They have lots of stuff to keep your DD busy and it's educational too. I have some nieces and nephews around that age who are just curious about everything and love to collect things that way they also learn at the same time.

You can also use any old magazines and make a book or make a memory box out of an old shoe box and have her decorate that with the pictures or with whatever craft stuff you have laying around the house.

A great way to spend a day is to have a theme, like learning about a different culture and eating the food or learning how to say hello in that language. I like to be unorthodox sometimes and have Halloween(they get to dress up) or an Easter Egg hunt (they get to find things) a few times a year.

Hope some of this helps. Good luck!
